Ti leaves from around the house are used to trap steam and help cook food faster. They are also used to wrap food, chicken laolao, pork laolao, etc.

Taotao Tasi means "people of the sea". This site is dedicated to my beloved father, the late +Capt. Vicente Manglona Concepcion(aka:Ben/Ben-Ki). Although the title of the blog is Taotao Tasi, I also post photos of food! There is a whole world of foodies out there, and I am more than happy to share my island foodie culture.

Interesting, Please continue.
I'd like to see the dish you cook by it.
We had this in Pohnpei last week. They put bread fruit in there, too.
