The breakfast of champs

I got my breakfast of champs today!!!

2 donuts for me, and 2 donuts for my hubby!!!

never mind the diet, I just enjoy how declious Galaxy's donuts are, especially when they are hot.

Can't have it both ways...

I remember when I lived in Corvallis, Oregon that we would meet my sister in Salem (1 hour away) and then drive to Beaverton, Oregon, just to go to Krispy Kreme! 3 hour drive for us, and 2 hour drive for her, just to get to Krispy Kreme. All that driving, gas and time for DONUTS!
Call it nuts, call it whatever you want, it was delicoious... I miss it! I also remember missing Galaxy's donuts while I was studying in the mainland, but now that I am here, I miss Krispy Kreme...

I miss galaxy doughnuts. Krispy kreme is too light and disintergrated quickly compared to the "meaty" texture of galaxy's doughnuts. What's their recipe?

Oh....Krispy Kreme is sooo my fave donut house. Yum! For us we would have to drive atleast 2 1/2 hrs. to Baton Rouge to get some.

I miss krispy kreme too! There are so many in California that have closed and to me, no other donut comes close. I guess I have to settle... darn it!

NOBU: Thank you for visiting my blog! LOL@delicious! I love donuts!

KIRIDA: I agree about Galaxy's meatier texture, but the donut gets hard when it is not hot! Krispy Kreme remains nice and soft! I have no idea how they do it!

LIZ NENA: Same experience with me, but they are worth the drive.. LOL I would usually get a Krispy Kreme fundraising card, where I can buy a dozen and get one free. This makes our drive worth it! My sister and I walk out with 4 dozens each, after purchasing only 2!

Bridgett: I have seen a recipe for krispy kreme donuts on that copy cat cookbook, but it did not even come close to the texture.
